For Immediate Release
May 11, 2018
Press Release - Sorcerer Radio has been a main stay for Disney fans for seventeen years. For twelve of those seventeen years, listeners have been treated to live hosted shows during the 8:00am and 1:00pm time slots on most days of the week. DW:60, which is hosted by Sorcerer Radio personality Jeff Davis, has been the longest running show and has been a staple for listeners for every Thursday during those twelve years. That streak will come to an end next week.
Multiple changes will occur starting on May 14th, 2018 and we will lay out all of the updates below. The shows that will not be changing are: The SRN Top 10, Mighty Marvel Geeks, Wookiee Radio, Touring the World, The Lunchtime Request Hour and Loopy Tuesday.
One show will be slightly modified. E-Ticket time will be moving time slots, and will go back to a non-hosted format. E-Ticket Time will also play multiple times during the week.
With E-Ticket Time going to a non-hosted format, we are very excited to announce the newest Sorcerer Radio show to be added to our live hosted format. "The Animation Courtyard" will be a show about all things related to Disney movies. Join host Dan Barnes every Tuesday morning for Disney movie music, news and more.
We are very excited about these changes, and while it's a little scary to change what we've been doing for twelve years, we are reminded of the great Walt Disney Quote: "Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."
These changes will help our DJs in their effort to push out great Disney content on a regular basis and will also help us us to supply you with some new features that are on the way.
The following is the new hosted show changes that will take place beginning May 14th:
Sorcerer Radio personality, Eric Allen, was asked about the upcoming changes to the Sorcerer Radio live hosted schedule and he had this to say: "I'm definitely excited! The Irish say change is as good as a rest, and I think it's gonna be that way here. It'll also allow listeners who can only listen on certain days a chance to be introduced to original programming they might not have had a chance to experience otherwise."
Sorcerer Radio personality, Jeff Davis, had this to say about his move to Fridays: "I'm beyond excited about DW:60 moving to Friday mornings. It gives me the opportunity kick off the last day of the work week with our listeners by creating a fun and energetic atmosphere, while still providing them with the week's biggest headlines from the Walt Disney World Resort. And having the extra day for more Headlines for DW:60's Press Row is definitely a plus. "
