Eric - Host the SorCom Review
Eric (known on the Sorcerer Community as “Uncle Servo”) has worn many hats over the years – college radio DJ, comic book artist, print media manager, failed stand-up comedian, and administrative assistant among others – but while few if any of these hats have had actual Mickey ears attached they've never been far away in spirit. He was first introduced to the magic of Walt Disney World when his parents took him during the mid-70s. A fan of sci-fi/space/fantasy ever since being glued to the TV as an infant when Neil Armstrong took his “one giant leap for mankind,” Walt's visions of the future as manifested in areas like Tomorrowland and Future World found a welcome home in his own imagination.
He got to live out two life-long dreams in 2006 when he finally visited Disneyland after becoming a champion on the game show Jeopardy! In an ironic twist of fate (although he likes to chalk it up to “divine intervention”), it was a Disney Film Voices category that helped to secure his win.
Eric stumbled across Sorcerer Radio in 2008 when looking for suitable background music while at work and was instantly hooked. After spending many hours enjoying the great Disney music as a listener, and spending probably far too many hours interacting on the Sorcerer Community as a member (if it’s truly possible to spend TOO many hours there), he joined the SR staff in 2010 and relishes the opportunity to contribute to the station he’s enjoyed so much.
Disney Favorites: Biergarten, Extra Magic Hours, the Monorail, Biergarten, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Biergarten, the attention to detail, the friendliness of the Cast Members, and Biergarten.
Favorite Ride: Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom), Mission: Space (Epcot), Star Tours (DHS), Dinosaur/Countdown to Extinction (Animal Kingdom).
Favorite Park: Geez, I gotta pick just ONE???Overall I guess it'd have to be Epcot.
Favorite Area of a Park: The entrance to Tomorrowland from the Castle hub at Magic Kingdom late at night… and when I say “late at night” I really mean the wee hours of the morning as Extra Magic Hours are winding down and the park is nearly deserted.
