On my most recent vacation to Disney World I had an awesome experience at Bongo’s Cuban Café in Disney Springs. The Christmas decorations were in full swing, and the temperature was perfect for walking the parks. The service, food, and atmosphere of Bongo’s Cuban Café topped off my evening and it made for a perfect night.
I booked Bongo’s Cuban Café on the second night we were in town on an Animal Kingdom Day. Although there will soon be a night show and Avatar Land, I usually find that there isn’t enough to do there, so after going on some rides and enjoying a few shows I headed to downtown Disney. The restaurant is located closer to the La Nouba side of Disney Springs (the West Side) and the building has been there for 18 years as Bongo’s Cuban Café. The lighting outdoors was ambient and heaters ablaze for those who chose to sit outside.
I was on the dining plan and the menu has a lot of options. Everyone in my party went for the 45$ Grilled Seafood Platter. Talk about the best dining decision I have made at a Walt Disney resort ever! The Grilled Seafood Platter is a large plate of grilled lobster, scallops, mussels, clams, calamari, and fish. It is also served with white rice and green plantains. The seafood has an amazing flavor and I enjoyed the dish very much. I would highly recommend Bongo’s Cuban Café to any Disney Goers on the Dining plan.
