Are you looking for a great restaurant to book on your next Disney trip? Well, if you are an early bird (booking 180 days out) you should definitely try out the Grand Floridian Café. I’ve been there three times now since 2013 and the meal is incredible.
The Restaurant is located on the first floor, right off the Grand Lobby on the opposite side of the monorail route. Dinner starts at 5:00pm sharp and you should be prepared for a filling and delicious meal.
The description for the restaurant is traditional American fare, with fresh fruit, seafood, and burgers. You can be seated for Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner. The dinner menu is packed with dishes such as New York Strip Steak, Grilled Pork Chop, or Shrimp and Grits. There’s also burgers, sustainable catch, pasta, chicken breast, and vegetarian options. Out of all the steak dinner’s I’ve had at Walt Disney World, I must say that Grand Floridian Café’s New York Strip Steak has the best flavor.
On my most recent vacation there I stepped outside of the box and tried the Grilled Pork Chop. The meal started off with a side salad, then the entrée is served, followed by dessert. The cut on the Pork Chop was a sizable portion and the flavoring was good.
If you happen to be dining with a party of 2 or more than I would recommend the dessert sampler. Two people can order a dessert tray with Fresh Berry tart, Mocha Pot de Crème, Chocolate Timbale, and Wild Strawberry Cheesecake.
The meal is probably one of the better table service options at Walt Disney World. If you find yourself looking to make reservations for dinner on a Magic Kingdom Day, then you should definitely take the hour or two, take a break, and relax on the monorail ride over to Grand Floridian Hotel for a reservation at the Café there. It’s definitely worth the table service point.
