This week in Walt Disney World 9/14-9/20

What a interesting week this has turned out to be. Lots of announcements, changes, shocking news to long time Disney Park lovers, and interesting rumors.

Top news for Walt Disney World for this week:

Frozen Takes over Walt Disney World.

Maelstrom, the beloved Norway attraction that has been around for 26 years, will have its last day on October 5th. The attraction will be down (no reopening date announced) and given a complete makeover to a Frozen themed attraction. In addition, a new, permanent meet and greet area will be build to meet the Frozen Sisters to better accommodate the crowds. Though I will miss Maestrom, "You are not to first to pass this way." Though you might be the last on October 5th.

Video of your reaction to your favorite drops, point of view, and scenes from the ride are now offered part of Photopass+ and Memorymaker. You can only view these videos online and the Mydisneyexperience app, not at the parks currently. Be prepared for flashes of lights on your Mine Train experience, and maybe adding these to a few more rides.
