Liberty Tree Tavern located in the Magic Kingdom and is a great Family Dining Experience. The place is usually packed, so be prepared to wait a short while before you are seated. The dining room is themed like an establishment with wait staff costumes and decorations from the American colonial times.
Liberty Tree Tavern is a family style buffet. First course is a salad with house made dressing. Then your table is brought out a platter of food containing Turkey, Roast, Prime Rib, Mashed Potatoes, grilled vegetables, stuffing, and cheesy macaroni. My favorites were the roast and mashed potatoes. You can ask for seconds and eat until you are stuffed. The dessert is Johnny’s Appleseed Bread Pudding, served with Ice Cream.
The service is surprisingly good considering how crowded the restaurant usually gets. After eating at Liberty Tree nothing beats walking off what you just ate by taking a stroll around Magic Kingdom’s different lands. It may be best to stick to the slow rides like Carousel of Progress or the People Mover.
