Disney sets dates, performers for 2019 Epcot arts fest


Walt Disney World has revealed the dates and Broadway performers for the 2019 edition of the Epcot International Festival of Arts.

The event, most of which is included in regular theme park admission, will run daily from Jan. 18 through Feb. 25.

The festival’s Disney on Broadway Concert Series has been expanded to become an every-night occurrence. Scheduled performers include:

Kerry Butler (“Beauty and the Beast”) and Kevin Massey (“Tarzan”) on Jan. 18, 19, 22, 23 and 26. Meredith Inglesby (“The Little Mermaid”) and Steve Blanchard (“Beauty and the Beast”) on Jan. 20, 21, 24, 25 and 27. Arielle Jacobs and Adam Jacobs (“Aladdin”) on Jan. 28, 29, Feb. 1, 2, 5, 6 and 9. Heidi Blickenstaff (“Freaky Friday”) and Gavin Lee (“Mary Poppins”) on Jan. 30, 31, Feb. 3, 4, 7, 8, and 10. Ashley Brown (“Mary Poppins”) and Josh Strickland (“Tarzan”) on Feb. 11, 12, 15, 16, 19, 20, 23 and 25. Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White (“The Lion King”) on Feb. 13, 14, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24 and 25.

The concerts at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. each night.

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series Dining Package, will includes a dinner reservation and priority seating for a concert, goes on sale Nov. 8. For more information, go to Disneyworld.com or call 407-939-3463.

Other Festival of the Arts activities include 13 Food Studios, the Artful Photo Opportunities, musical acts including Bodh’aktan in Canada and Delta Q in Germany, Figment’s Brush With the Masters Scavenger Hunt, a public mural project along World Showcase Plaza plus free seminars and extra-fee workshops to be announced.
