Disney's Dinosaur attraction is about to take a break

WHAT: Dinosaur, the prehistoric time-travel attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom, will close soon for some refurbishment. The ride features fast-paced encounters with a styracosaurus and a velociraptora cearadactylus, not to mention a meteor shower. The attraction, which includes animatronics, opened with the theme park in 1998.

WHEN: The attraction is scheduled to be down between Monday and sometime this fall, according to the company website. Park hours this weekend are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

WHERE: Off Interstate 4, southwest of Orlando

COST: A one-day ticket to Disney's Animal Kingdom currently is $114 ($108 for ages 3-9). As of Sunday, Disney World leaves the "peak" period in favor of "regular" pricing, which is $102 ($96 for ages 3-9) for Animal Kingdom.
