Boma Fire Evacuates Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

A fire broke out in a Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge storage room, that sent guests of the hotel streaming out of the popular resort.  The fire began around 6:45pm Monday and started a mandatory evacuation of the Boma restaurant, which is housed inside of the resort

"[It] wasn't a big fire, wasn't a lot of fire conditions, but it put out a lot of smoke," said Bo Jones, assistant chief of the Reedy Creek Fire & Rescue Departments.

No injuries were reported and guests were allowed back inside at 8:00pm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Jones said it likely started near a paint can in a storage room.
